Collingwood fans are known for their unrivalled passion, but Gold Coast police officer Chris McIntyre took it to another level when he wore his club media polo to his own wedding.

Chris is the winner of the adidas ultimate Magpie fan competition that was conducted through the club’s Facebook page earlier this year.

The adidas all in competition asked supporters to upload a photo of themselves decked out in official adidas club apparel, describing why they support Collingwood like no other.

The dedication shown by Chris was matched by his bride, Jenna, who in fact suggested he wear his adidas media polo on their big day. The photos of Chris have since featured in the adidas ad that has run in the AFL Record this season.
As the winner of the adidas ultimate Magpie fan competition, Chris was treated to an all access pass that included:

•    Tossing the coin at the match against Essendon in Round 19
•    The hospitality of the Lou Richards Lounge for the Essendon game, enjoyed by Chris and his family
•    Meeting Nathan Buckley for a coffee at the Westpac Centre
•    A tour of the Westpac Centre (where they were lucky enough to get a photo of Mick Malthouse with their one year old son, Kye)
•    adidas provided Chris with a $500 shopping voucher and the chance to go shopping with Nick Maxwell during a visit to the adicentre in Mulgrave
•    The 2010 Premiership Cup at their house

Kye’s first birthday was all the more memorable as it occurred on the day the club visited the family at their Gold Coast home with the 2010 Premiership Cup.

“It’s so hard to describe it. Outside of my marriage and the birth of my son, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” Chris said.

“Especially meeting ‘Bucks’. He comes across as a nice guy on TV, but he was just so genuine in person. He’s my idol. I looked up to him and I finally got the chance to meet him. He was great.”

Chris wishes to thank the Collingwood Football Club and adidas for his ultimate Magpie experience, and says he can’t wait for the next time Collingwood make the trip up to the Gold Coast.
