Charges Laid:

Jed Lamb, Carlton, has been charged with unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of Jade Gresham, St Kilda, during the second quarter of the Round 17 match between Carlton and St Kilda, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday July 13, 2018.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available evidence and a medical report from the St Kilda Football Club, the incident was classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. The incident was assessed as a one-match sanction. The player can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Other Incidents

Contact between Carlton’s Jed Lamb and St Kilda’s Jade Gresham from the second quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. At the conclusion of a scuffle between the players, Lamb makes contact to Gresham with his knee. It was the view of the Match Review Officer there was insufficient force in the contact to constitute a charge. No further action was taken.
