The 2010 premiership painting has arrived at the Westpac Centre and will be available for public viewing thursday 23rd June - Saturday 15th June. To celebrate, all members who come into the Superstore and present their membership card will receive a 20% discount on all merchandise*.

The work, painted by world-famous artist Jamie Cooper, will hang inside the club's boardroom.

Cooper, who has painted an array of sporting moments including Collingwood’s Team of the Century and the 1990 premiership locker-room scene (both hang in the Westpac Centre boardroom), has been working on the 2010 piece for the last three months.

Magpie skipper Nick Maxwell sat down with Cooper in the preliminary stages of the work to make sure the artist captured every nuance in the side’s premiership 22.

The painting will be on display in the Westpac Centre foyer on Thursday (9am-5pm), Friday (9am-5pm) and Saturday (10am-1pm) of next week. Don't forget, all members who come into the Superstore and present their membership card will receive a 20% discount on all merchandise*.

Jamie Cooper’s description of the premiership locker-room scene

The all conquering Magpies of 2010, unveiled here in their moment of glory.

The scene is the change rooms at the MCG, October 2nd 2010, when the lid came off.

Some features included in the painting;

Nathan Brown showers his mates in champers as Darren Jolly raises as fist in celebration.

What’s that possum sitting behind Alan Toovey

The colourful artwork of Dayne Beams and Dane Swan is on show.

Leigh Brown hoists Alan Didak aloft as Did’s decides this is the right time to crack a bottle of vintage Grange. But Jarryd Blair will wait in vain for a spilled drop as Didak is famously precious about the red stuff.

Ben Reid waves a crutch in the air feeling no pain of the broken foot he sustained during the game.

Sharrod Wellingham celebrates as usual with his iPod on full blast.

Daisy Thomas jumps for joy with his usual enthusiasm, while Harry O is already sharing the moment on Twitter.

The brains trust of captain, coach and president, join arms with Leon Davis who was so much a part of the 2010 season and symbolises all the list that contributed to this great victory.

Chris Dawes towers above them all with another bottle of bubbly as Norm Smith Medalist Scott Pendlebury sums up what it is all about with a private moment with the precious Premiership Cup.
