MATTHEW Scharenberg insists his feet are no problem ahead of draft night, as clubs make the final call on where the South Australian utility fits in this year's pool.

Scharenberg has suffered sesamoiditis, which has seen both sesamoid bones in his feet inflamed.

The injury meant he missed the end of the season for Glenelg and stopped him from testing at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, but he doesn't believe clubs should be concerned.

AFL.com.au has contacted a number of clubs about the injury, with a majority saying it would not have any significant impact on where Scharenberg is drafted.

"[My feet are] not too bad. I'm just doing what I've been told at the moment and giving them rest at the moment," Scharenberg said on Wednesday at Dreamworld.

"I'll just leave it up to the experts.

"Injuries are part of football and I'm not different to anyone else who gets injured."

Scharenberg appears likely to be drafted to either Collingwood or the Brisbane Lions, with the 190cm prospect coming off back-to-back under-18 All Australian honours.

"I don't have any preference [where I get drafted]," Scharenberg said.

"I'd be happy to get the opportunity so as long as my name gets called out I'd be happy wherever it is."

There is a possibility Scharenberg will also be drafted alongside Victorian Christian Salem to Collingwood.

Salem is also a strong chance to end up at Melbourne at pick nine and says the nerves are building ahead of Thursday night.

"Even now I've just finished exams last week and next week I'll hopefully be training at an AFL club, so it is a bit daunting," Salem said.
