STATE and community football takes the spotlight this weekend as the celebration of football hits its peak.

Victoria

VFL finals kick off with the Casey Scorpions hosting Footscray and Collingwood playing Williamstown in qualifying finals on Saturday. Geelong clash with Essendon in an elimination final, while Port Melbourne and Sandringham try to extend their campaigns by at least a week on Sunday. 

Many competitions will stage Grand Finals around Victoria on Saturday. Geelong Amateur and Modewarre face off in the premiership decider of the Bellarine FNL, while Fish Creek and Inverloch-Kongwak are playing in the Alberton FNL.

The Heathcote District Football League sees Leitchville Gunbower and North Bendigo in the Grand Final.

Picola United and Strathmerton meet to become the Picola and District Football Netball League premiers. The Horsham Saints and Minyip Murtoa Burras will decide the Wimmera Football League.

In the Essendon District Football League, Aberfeldie and Greenvale face off for the flag.

South Australia

Adelaide plays its first ever SANFL final against Central District at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, before South Adelaide comes up against Sturt in a qualifying final.

In the rest of the state, Kimba Districts and Eastern Ranges will face off in the Grand Final of the Eastern Eyre Football League on Saturday, while Roxby Districts meets East Roxby Football Club on the same day in the Far North Football League. 

Western Australia 

Finals begin in the WAFL – South Fremantle and West Perth will stage a qualifying final on Saturday before Peel Thunder and East Perth meet in a do-or-die match the following day, in a meeting of Fremantle and West Coast's respective affiliate teams.

Elsewhere in Western Australia, Cervantes and Lancelin Ledge Point will decide the winner of the Central Midlands Coastal FL on Saturday. 

Also that day, Esperance and Gibson meet at Ports Football Oval. The West Kimberley Football Association's Grand Final will have Bidyadanga and Looma face off at Haynes Oval.

The Ongerup Football Association Grand Final will see Newdegate and Gnowangerup at Lake Grace. Swans and Karratha Kats meet in the North Pilbara Football League on Saturday night. 

Those looking for Sunday action can see who wins the Eastern District Football League at Merredin Recreation Grounds to watch Kulin/Kondinin against Bruce Rock fight for the premiership.

Northern Territory

The Central Australian Women's FL has Pioneer Girls versus Alice Springs on Saturday before Federal attempts to win consecutive flags, against Pioneer. 

Queensland

In Queensland, the QFA North has Mayne and Maroochydore in a replay of last season's premiership decider.

New South Wales

Football will thrive in New South Wales in the lead-up to the all-state clash between the Sydney Swans and Greater Western Sydney next Saturday. In the Broken Hill League, the South Football Club and North Football Club will battle for the flag at Jubilee Oval on Saturday.

The Black Diamond Cup will have Newcastle City and Terrigal Avoca competing in the decider. Coffs Breakers and Sawtell/Toormina Saints will play off in the North Coast AFL.

Tasmania

Tasmania will see a premiership awarded to the winner of the North Eastern Football Union, with Bridport and Winnaleah fighting it out on Saturday.
