The teams for the two Good Friday matches in the rebel VFLW.

IT’S one premiership player for another at Port Melbourne with the reigning premier naming another strong squad for its rebel VFLW Grand Final rematch against Collingwood at ETU Stadium on Good Friday.

The Borough, who were in ominous touch in running away from preliminary finalist Essendon by 47 points at NEC Hangar last week, have lost Lisa Davie to an ankle injury but have had the luxury of calling Kate Adams off the waiting list for what is a highly anticipated showdown, despite the Magpies’ off-season overhaul.

Collingwood doesn’t have any of its grand final team still at the club, but their replacements will still be keen for the big match where they will be hoping to put down a marker for their own prospects this season after a narrow loss to Southern Saints in Round 1.

The Magpies have named a familiar face to Port fans, with former Richmond AFLW forward Steph Williams to play her first game for her new club after being delisted by the Tigers at the end of last season.

She played eight VFLW games for the Borough, kicking five goals, and will need to be watched.

Young midfielder Maya Ellin, 18, will make her VFLW debut after joining the Magpies from Coates Talent League team Oakleigh Chargers, with the pair replacing the omitted Hannah Fosbrooke and Rebecca Grant.

North Melbourne will be without ruck recruit Kate Reynolds for its clash with Carlton at Arden Street Oval on Good Friday.

The former Sydney Swan was suspended for four weeks for a high bump on Western Bulldog Caitlin Pickett during her debut last week, with Georgia Nicholas coming into the team to replace her in the only change made by new coach Brett Gourley.

The Blues have made one change to the team that recorded a convincing victory over Geelong at GMHBA Stadium to kick off their campaign. Lulu Beatty will miss through injury, replaced by Danika Di Santo.

Teams for all Saturday and Sunday games will be announced tomorrow.

All matches in the 2024 rebel VFLW season will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
