HAWTHORN runner Billy Hartung is among three inclusions to the side that will face Geelong on Easter Monday, eight days after it was thumped by Gold Coast.

Brendan Whitecross joined onballer Jaeger O'Meara (knee) and Teia Miles as omissions.

O'Meara was left out of the squad after the club said he copped a knock to his knee versus the Suns.

Tim O'Brien and Blake Hardwick were named in the side for the first match of the year.

Meanwhile, Nakia Cockatoo returns for the Cats after he required thumb surgery following the round one win versus Fremantle.

Small forward Lincoln McCarthy was dumped from the team that beat Melbourne last Saturday.

Cats midfielders George Horlin-Smith (broken thumb) and Josh Cowan (Achilles) were withdrawn from the 25-man squad earlier on Saturday.
