KURT Tippett's horror off-season will finally come to an end on Tuesday morning, with the former Adelaide big man set to be chosen by the Sydney Swans in the NAB AFL Pre-season draft, which begins at 11am.

Tippett, who played 104 games and kicked 188 goals for the Crows between 2008 and 2012, has placed a hefty price on his head so that he won't be taken before the Swans' first selection, pick 11.

It is believed the financial terms nominated by Tippett state that he will be handed a four-year $3.55 million contract by the reigning premiers.

However, the 25-year-old will have to sit out the Swans' first 11 games next year after being suspended for draft tampering and salary cap breaches relating to his last contract with Adelaide, which he signed at the end of the 2009 season.

A number of other experienced players are also likely to find new homes in the pre-season draft.

Former Geelong and Essendon midfielder Brent Prismall is in the mix to join the Western Bulldogs and ex-Carlton key position player Bret Thornton is a chance to join Greater Western Sydney.

The pre-season draft will be conducted electronically, with clubs lodging their selections from their home bases, and footy fans can follow every pick by clicking on AFL.com.au's Draft Tracker.

The NAB AFL Rookie Draft takes place immediately after the pre-season draft.

It is also conducted electronically, and all the rookie selections will be published in a live chat hosted by Mark Macgugan and draft guru Cal Twomey.
