THE PLAYERS got down and dirty on day two of Carlton's pre-season training camp in a wrestling session on the sand at Kurrawa beach.

After a taxing circuit session involving boxing, ropes, weights and beach runs, the Blues gathered in a circle as players tested their strength against each other.

Rising star Patrick Cripps, zippy midfielder Dylan Buckley, recruit Sam Kerridge and second-year player Clem Smith all featured prominently in the grappling session, which quickly got willing as the Blues egged the combatants on.
