THE ROOF at Etihad Stadium will be kept open for North Melbourne and St Kilda's Good Friday clash.

With a top of 23 degrees predicted for Melbourne on Friday, and just 10 per cent chance of rain, Etihad Stadium has decided not to close the roof.

Stadium officials made the call 30 minutes before gates opened to the public. Clubs have also been told of the decision.

Last Friday night the roof was kept open for the Essendon-Adelaide clash, much to the delight of fans and broadcasters.

The roof, which has been nicknamed Ralf, has its very own Twitter account.
