STAR Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar missed training at the Holden Centre on Tuesday but both he and the club have dismissed concerns surrounding his fitness.

He had scans on Monday and has a history of groin and hip issues but a Magpies spokesperson said the 24-year-old skipped Tuesday's session to reduce his load after he took part in the intraclub last Thursday.

De Goey will learn to put club first: Treloar

Treloar was similarly quick to play down any suggestion of an injury.

"Everything's all good. It was a maintenance check. I've had a history of injuries that I make sure I'm looking after," Treloar said.

"With about three or four weeks before the season, you want to make sure you're in fine nick."

Treloar wasn't named in the 26-man squad for the Magpies' first JLT Community Series match against Greater Western Sydney on Thursday night at UNSW Canberra Oval.

JLT squads: Giant returns, star Pies missing

Other notables to miss out included Daniel Wells, Darcy Moore, Jeremy Howe and the exiled Jordan De Goey.

Versatile tall Moore and wingman James Aish left the track early in Tuesday's session while classy onballer Wells spent time running away from the main group.

Moore has had a managed pre-season dealing with an Achilles issue, while a calf concern has plagued Wells.
