ADELAIDE coach Don Pyke says discussions with out-of-contract duo Rory Sloane and Tom Lynch are ongoing and he remains confident they will remain with the Crows.

Free agent Sloane has been linked with several Victorian clubs, including Hawthorn, while Lynch's future also remains up in the air.

"We continue to talk to Rory and discussions are ongoing," Pyke told reporters on Wednesday.

"We've got two players we want to keep, two players who want to be at the footy club and we're working towards finding suitable arrangements for both of them.

"I'm confident in that space."

The Crows have lost several big-name players in recent years, including Brownlow medallist Patrick Dangerfield and Melbourne defender Jake Lever.

Sloane – a dual Crows best and fairest and All Australian in 2016 - has played only four games this season because of foot injuries.

The 28-year-old is two to three weeks away from returning from a strained Lisfranc ligament.

Lynch, 27, is a critical piece of the Crows' forward set-up as the link between defence and attack.

He recently travelled to Melbourne to look at houses, sparking speculation he would be willing to entertain offers from rival clubs if the Crows don't increase their offer.

The Crows take on Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Sunday as they aim to turn around a horror 91-point flogging at the hands of Melbourne.

Sitting sixth on the ladder with a 6-4 record despite a huge injury toll gives Pyke the belief the players have earned an opportunity to redeem themselves.

"I think you've got to be really careful in this game of jumping at shadows," Pyke said.

"I've got a lot of faith and belief in the playing group.

"Players that we've had this year have performed really well at times.

"We've had some poor performances, the Collingwood and Melbourne games stand out.

"We learn from that, we're going to continue to develop and we're going to get some opportunities for younger guys who are playing.

"That's unfortunately what we got last week, but a week's a long time in footy."

Dynamic winger Paul Seedsman is a chance to return from an adductor injury after he was a late withdrawal against the Demons.

Seedsman missed most of last season with groin issues, while defender Luke Brown (concussion) will also be assessed.

"Given a bit of (Seedsman's) history, the uncertainty was enough for us to make that late change," Pyke said.

"The positive news is he's come out of it well, and we expect him to train tomorrow."
