JESSE Hogan and Will Hoskin-Elliott enter round 12 as the only two players to play in and kick a goal in every round this season.

It is not uncommon, but if they continue this trend, they could be on track to join an exclusive club.

Since 1999, just 20 players have managed to play in and kick a goal in 25 or more consecutive games.

Lance Franklin holds the honour of having the longest streak with 45 games. His run started in round 18, 2007, went all the way through his magical 2008 season and finally ended after round 13, 2009.

Franklin booted 179 goals in that stretch, at an average of 3.98 per game, with 113 of those coming in Hawthorn's premiership-winning 2008 campaign.

Franklin's teammate Jarryd Roughead may have kept him on his toes at that time.

Roughead began his streak of 27 consecutive games the week prior to Franklin and managed 77 goals before his run ended in round 19, 2008.

Stephen Milne donned the No.44 guernsey for the Saints, and coincidentally his streak lasted for 44 games between round 15, 2011 and round 11, 2013.

The goal sneak managed 108 goals in that time, with a bag of eight against the Crows in 2011 the highlight.

West Coast's Josh Kennedy (33 and 30 games) and Eddie Betts (33 and 32 games) were the only two players to manage the feat twice, while Cameron Mooney was very close (30 and 21 games).

Kennedy could easily have held the record too. From round 18, 2014 to round 10, 2017, the Eagle spearhead played 64 games consecutively and managed 220 goals.

He only went goalless in one game; the 2015 Grand Final.

Adelaide's forward line had the chance to have three entrants on the list across 2016 and 2017.

Betts' second streak started in round 10, 2016 and lasted for 32 games with 92 majors in that span.

Josh Jenkins narrowly missed the list with 66 goals coming from 24 games.

His streak lasted from the 2015 semi-final, with his two goals against the Kangaroos in the 2016 elimination final marking his final game in that run, as he failed to kick a goal against the Swans in the semi-final the following week.

Jenkins coincidentally passed the torch to his skipper Taylor Walker, who began his 58-goal, 25-game spree against North Melbourne in that same 2016 elimination final.

The Adelaide captain's streak ended as he missed round one this season with a foot injury.

There are 11 players who can count themselves unlucky after kicking goals in 20-24 consecutive game range: Barry Hall, Jack Riewoldt, Saverio Rocca, Jack Gunston, Russell Robertson, Brad Green, Jeff Garlett, Tom Hawkins and Paul Medhurst, as well as the previously mentioned Jenkins and Mooney.
