FREMANTLE midfielder Ed Langdon is a late withdrawal from today's clash with Greater Western Sydney due to illness.

Darcy Tucker has come into the Dockers team to replace Langdon in what will be his first game since round one.

Langdon's absence is a blow for the visitors after the 22-year-old starred in last week's important win over Gold Coast at Optus Stadium.

He finished the match with 27 possessions, nine inside 50s and five tackles against the Suns.

The Giants go in unchanged with star forward Toby Greene back from a hamstring issue, and veteran Ryan Griffen to play his first senior game since round three last year.

Dawson Simpson has replaced Rory Lobb (knee) to take on the massive task of combating Fremantle big man Aaron Sandilands, with key forward Jonathon Patton set to continue his role as the Giants' back-up ruckman.
