CARLTON forward Jack Silvagni has been cleared of structural damage to his right shoulder but remains in doubt for Saturday's blockbuster clash against Collingwood.

Silvagni copped a heavy knock to his shoulder in a collision with Zak Jones during the second quarter of the Blues' win over Sydney on Saturday.

The 19-year-old spent the rest of the game on the sidelines, but AFL.com.au understands scans have cleared him of major injury.

Silvagni was in considerable discomfort on Saturday but his condition has since improved markedly.

He remains very sore, however, and has suffered significant bruising, so he will have to prove his fitness later this week.

First-year Blues midfielder Zac Fisher experienced hamstring tightness in Saturday's win and was due to be assessed on Monday, but emerging swingman Jacob Weitering (corked thigh) is expected to be fit to take on the Magpies.
