BRISBANE Lions swingman Daniel McStay will make his long-awaited return from injury in the JLT Community Series game against Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval on Saturday.
The 21-year-old hasn't been sighted in the senior side since injuring his ankle in the Lions' round 17 loss to Greater Western Sydney last year, before playing in a NEAFL trial game last week.
The Lions will also unveil dynamic utility Cedric Cox, the No.24 pick at the 2016 NAB AFL Draft.
Claye Beams, Rhys Mathieson and Archie Smith drop out of the extended Lions' squad.
Harrison Wigg is a surprising omission for the Crows having been squeezed out of the 24-player match-day squad.
Wigg impressed off half-back and through the midfield, picking up 23 possessions in the Crows' opening pre-season game against Richmond.
Wigg and fellow omission Myles Poholke played in the Crows' SANFL trial against Sturt at Football Park on Saturday.
Riley Knight was a late scratching because of a sore Achilles, but he will be working towards being available for either the AFL or SANFL in round one.
Former basketballer and Category B rookie Hugh Greenwood has retained his place in the Crows side, which welcomes back star forwards Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins.
Greenwood can push his claims for a round one debut in an undermanned Crows midfield with Rory Sloane (eye socket), Scott Thompson (shoulder) and Brad Crouch in doubt for the season-opener with Greater Western Sydney.
