WESTERN Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge says stars Easton Wood, Tom Liberatore and Jack Macrae will overcome injuries in time to play in Thursday's elimination final against West Coast.

Liberatore (ankle) and Macrae (hamstring) haven't played since round 19, while stand-in captain Wood missed the round 23 with an ankle complaint.

Out-of-favour forward Jake Stringer will also make the trip to Perth, but Beveridge didn't guarantee his return to the senior side after two weeks in the VFL.

"(Easton) is good, he's come up, we've picked him and we expect him to play," Beveridge said on Tuesday.

"It's a credit to everyone to get 'Libba' and Jack Macrae to a point where they're available.

"(All three) are close to 100 per cent."

When quizzed on Stringer's chances of selection Beveridge was non-committal, but he gave the best indication yet the 2015 All Australian would face the Eagles.

(Jake's) applied himself, he's gone back to the VFL, and he's been a key contributor in two games there," he said.

"He'll learn from (his omission) and his challenge now is to make sure he maintains his spot in the side.

"He'll embrace that and meet it head-on on Thursday."

Stringer and Wood joined Tom Boyd, Matt Suckling, Liam Picken and Jordan Roughead on a flight to Perth on Tuesday, with the rest of the team to travel on Wednesday.

Roughead is expected to play after missing round 23 with a calf injury, while Boyd pulled up well from an ankle injury sustained in the loss Fremantle.

Fellow ruckman Tom Campbell will also make the trip west, and appears to be insurance if either first-choice big man doesn't play.

Beveridge conceded it might be a risk to bring in too many players with impeded preparations.

"That's where the risk is there for 'Libba' and Jack (Macrae) because they haven't played for quite a while now.

"Their training form has been good, but training and playing are two different things.

"We've got to make sure we make good decisions at the selection table to finalise (the team).

"But in big finals you need to be bold and you need go all out, and there's no tomorrow after Thursday (if we lose)."

Beveridge says the unavailability of Domain Stadium for a pre-match training run due to the whole team's late arrival in Perth was "problematic", and the club would instead use the WACA and Trinity College for its preparations.
