AN INJURY scare early in the week will not keep veteran Western Bulldogs defender Dale Morris from taking his place in Saturday's Grand Final.

"I'm 100 per cent and can't wait," Morris said on Friday.

"I wouldn't miss it for anything."

There was concern around Morris after he pulled up sore in the heel at training during the week.

There was speculation the 33-year-old was put through a fitness test by the Dogs on Wednesday, but Morris said it was a non-issue.

He said, instead, the orthotic heel inserts he wears in his boots were to blame.

"I had a bit going on with the heel raises and stuff," Morris said.

"I was saying before that being a prelim everything gets focused on a bit more and made into something it's not."

Morris said he was looking forward to the challenge of playing on Swans spearhead Lance Franklin at stages on Saturday.

"'Buddy' can play deep and he can play up high," Morris said.

"We've got plans in place for whatever happens."
