COLLINGWOOD is facing a fine after it was forced to make a late change from outside its emergencies for Sunday's clash against Melbourne at the MCG.
The Magpies withdrew defender Tyson Goldsack because of illness and replaced the 28-year-old with forward-turned-backman Jesse White, who was not named in the initial 25-man squad.
The AFL confirmed Collingwood would be sanctioned for the late change.
White, 28, will line up for his first appearance of the season against the Demons.
The Magpies' emergencies for the match are American import Mason Cox, Matthew Goodyear and Brent Macaffer.
Final terms will be confirmed 90 minutes before the opening bounce.
