FRESH from an impressive win over North Melbourne, Collingwood expects former Kangaroo Levi Greenwood to return in the VFL against Casey on Saturday.

Greenwood joined the Magpies on a four-year deal during last year's trade period in exchange for pick No.25, and was in good form before he fractured his fibula in the final game of the NAB Challenge.

But he has made a solid recovery and Magpies football manager Neil Balme told the club's website the 26-year-old was ready to return.

"He's been running pretty hard and probably won't play a full game but we're pretty certain he'll line up in the VFL," Balme said.

The Magpies' injury list is diminishing, with the club also expecting father-son prospect Darcy Moore to return from a hamstring injury in the VFL on Saturday.

Moore was in excellent form before hurting the hamstring against Essendon in a VFL game at Windy Hill in late April.

Balme said Moore's game-time would be managed, but he was ready to play.

All Australian full back Ben Reid also made a solid return in the VFL last weekend after battling quad problems. His expected return against Richmond a fortnight ago was delayed when scans showed he was not quite right.

Running defender Clinton Young also returned after battling hamstring injuries throughout the season. Young has struggled with injury since being recruited to the club as a free agent at the start of 2013.
