The Western Bulldogs are now seeking a part-time Sport Dietician to assist our Physical Performance Department.  The successful candidate will have a passion to see individuals achieve their goals and provide the latest scientific evidence into practical sports nutrition recommendations.

This role is reporting into the Sports Scientist, you will be joining a team that is responsible for the design and implementation of various elements of the physical performance programs to ensure Western Bulldogs players develop and maintain the physical capabilities required to perform at the elite AFL standard.  Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement best practise nutrition programmes for the Western Bulldogs Club and it’s playing group
  • Provide nutrition workshops for the team and individuals addressing nutrition education and hydration
  • Integrating nutrition into other facets of existing performance/wellness programs
  • Conducting body composition testing, maintaining database, and following progress of players to ensure they meet and/or exceed their goals 

The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualification in Nutrition and possess a Dietician or Nutritionist accreditation.  You will also possess highly developed communication (written, verbal & listening) & organisational skills and have exceptional attention to detail.  You must be able to work within a close-knit team and be able to build relationships at all levels in order to achieve the Club’s common goals.  This role also requires a willingness to work outside business hours and on weekends.
