TASMANIA and the Northern Territory have won through to the Division Two Grand Final of the 2008 NAB AFL Under 16 Championships after victories today on the Gold Coast.

Tasmania, led by Maverick Weller who amassed 27 possessions including two crucial late goals, scored a hard fought victory over NSW/ACT.

In the other match, the Northern Territory’s potent forward line proved too much for home side Queensland, the Territorian’s prevailing by 82 points.

The final will be played as a curtain raiser to the 2008 AFL Grand Final on September 27.

The winners of tomorrow’s Division One matches will also clash for the 2008 NAB AFL Under 16 Championship title on AFL Grand Final day.
