ESSENDON skipper Matthew Lloyd and Collingwood goal sneak Leon Davis have taken out this year's Toyota AFL Mark and Goal of the Year awards.

The All-Australian selection committee gave the pair the nod after sifting through the season's weekly winners as voted by visitors to afl.com.au and an expert AFL panel.

Lloyd's towering pack mark against the Demons in round 18 and Davis' final-round goal against Fremantle at Subiaco were judged the best of the season.

The Bombers captain took his screamer over a pack of five players late in the third quarter of his team's win over Melbourne and now has the complete award set after claiming Goal of the Year last season.

"It's a great honour to win this award and I want to thank the fans and All-Australian selectors for voting for me. Taking that mark was a big thrill for me and to win this great prize is icing on the cake," Lloyd said.

"Importantly, my junior club Avondale Heights gets to share in this award and I am proud that I have been able to help them."

Davis' effort in dispossessing Des Headland, evading an opposition player and converting from near the boundary line just inside the 50m was a worthy winner.

"To kick the winning goal in my home state of Western Australia, on a ground in which I'm very familiar, makes this award particularly memorable," Davis said.

He becomes the third indigenous player to receive this award since 2004 following Daniel Wells (2004) and Eddie Betts (2007).

Lloyd will receive the Alex Jesaulenko medal for his winning mark, while Davis will accept the Phil Manassa medal.

Each player receives the use of a Toyota TRD Aurion for 12 months while their junior football clubs Avondale Heights and Maddington Football Club will receive $5000 each.
