Adelaide
Brett Burton managed 14 touches and a goal in his second SANFL hit-out and could be considered. Rookie-listed wingman Brodie Martin was best on ground for Sturt pushing his case for elevation. Taylor Walker managed 1.2 from just a handful of possessions and like Burton could benefit from another week in the local league. Ruckman Jon Griffin has recovered from a calf complaint and will have his eyes on James Sellar’s spot, but is likely to gain match fitness with Central Districts first.

Brisbane Lions
Travis Johnstone will push for a recall after getting nearly 50 touches in the reserves’ win over Southport. Bradd Dalziell and Scott Harding also dominated for the seconds, while Tom Rockliff teeters on the brink of selection after kicking three goals. Michael Voss has cited Pearce Hanley and Tom Collier as potential replacements for defender Jed Adcock, who will miss the remainder of the season (knee). Jason Roe and Daniel Dzufer have also been strong in defence for the twos.

Carlton
The Northern Bullants had a bye on the weekend but the Blues could get a couple of players back from injury. Paul Bower (knee), Sam Jacobs (foot) and Simon Wiggins (hamstring) are all listed as tests, as is Andrew Walker (shoulder), who has not played a game this year. Setanta O'hAilpin (general soreness) will also face assessment after withdrawing from Saturday's clash with Richmond at the last minute.

Collingwood
With a question mark over Josh Fraser, ruckmen Cameron Wood and Chris Bryan will come into calculations should he not come up from his knee complaint. Both played in the VFL last week. So too did key defender Nathan Brown, who will be closely looked at given the Hawks’ double-pronged talls in attack. Ben Reid could also be a smoky for that defensive role, while Marty Clarke, Shannon Cox and Steele Sidebotttom were all handy at the lower level last week.

Essendon
Matthew Knights flagged few changes to his winning side, but indicated Hayden Skipworth and Nathan Lovett-Murray would be in the mix if he decided to make changes. He said Bachar Houli and David Myers would likely spend another week in the VFL, although Myers was in Bendigo's best last round along with Michael Quinn, Jarrod Atkinson and Tom Bellchambers. Bellchambers could be considered if the Dons feel the need to match it with the Bulldogs' two big ruckmen.

Fremantle
After Saturday night’s debacle, Fremantle will be desperate to regain leaders Matthew Pavlich and Aaron Sandilands for this week’s clash with the Brisbane Lions. Both will face fitness tests ahead of the Subiaco Oval fixture, but fit players are otherwise hard to come by for coach Mark Harvey. Solid WAFL performers Daniel Gilmore and Clancee Pearce seem the coach’s only other options.

Geelong
The Cats could welcome back more good players than you can shake a stick at. They lost seven players from the previous weekend’s loss to the Saints, but Gary Ablett, Matthew Scarlett, Darren Milburn, Andrew Mackie and Travis Varcoe should all return, although Cameron Ling and James Kelly could miss another week. Steve Johnson hasn’t played since round 13 and is still doubtful.

Hawthorn
Brendan Whitecross and Brent Renouf are both off the injured list and are chances to return for the clash against Collingwood. Renouf was one of Box Hill’s best in last week’s win over North Ballarat, while Ryan Schoenmakers and Cameron Stokes were also impressive. Ruckman Max Bailey had 34 hit-outs in his second game back from two consecutive knee reconstructions.

Melbourne
Clint Bartram had 32 disposals and was Casey's best player last round. He will be right in contention to return. Ruckman Paul Johnson and veteran Matthew Whelan also impressed for the Scorpions and will again be in the thoughts of the Melbourne selectors. Jamie Bennell and Brad Miller were emergencies last round and they too will be in the red and blue's thinking.

North Melbourne
Daniel Pratt is certain to return after serving a one-week suspension and seems a straight swap for the injured Gavin Urquhart (groin). Ben Ross had a 32-possession game for Werribee but may be asked to back that up as will Ed Lower after a strong performance for North Ballarat. Goals have dried up for Aaron Edwards and the threat of another hamstring injury will keep Matt Campbell in the VFL. Todd Goldstein was a late omission last week but needs more opportunities to develop.

Port Adelaide
Skipper Dom Cassisi has forecast some big changes at the selection table this week following his side’s dismal display against Melbourne. Travis Boak and Matt Thomas have recovered from knee injuries and will add some class to the Port Adelaide midfield. Half-backs Matthew Broadbent and Nick Lower continued their good form in the SANFL and forgotten forward Nick Salter, who spent two months on the sidelines with a knee injury, booted five goals for Woodville-West Torrens.

Richmond
New coach ‘Jade the Blade’ Rawlings hasn’t been shy when it comes to making changes each week, but this week could be different. With a host of new players in the team already, and nobody really pushing up from Coburg, the Tigers could meet North with an unchanged side.

St Kilda
Youngster Tom Lynch once again pressed his claims for selection, booting four goals for Sandringham in the VFL, but he is still behind Adam Schneider in the pecking order. Schneider took last week off for his child’s birth but should be back for the Saints this week. David Armitage and Luke Miles have been named as emergencies several times in recent weeks and could come under consideration.

Sydney Swans
After an 11-goal haul and a total of 19 in two weeks, Jesse White has shown he is a class above reserves football and is ready for a recall to the seniors. Midfielder Amon Buchanan has also impressed recently and his 50 possessions and five goals in the Swans reserves big win against Tuggeranong on the weekend could see him return to the top level. Kristin Thornton and Tim Schmidt will also be considered and forgotten defender Leo Barry must not be far away.

West Coast
With Dean Cox off for a second opinion on his groin, the door has been thrown open for Mark Seaby. Round nine was Seaby’s last hit-out with West Coast, but he has struck some solid form in the WAFL. Three goals, 17 possessions and 34 hit-outs for West Perth at the weekend was enough for coach John Worsfold to virtually guarantee his place this week. Beau Wilkes and Ben McKinley are also in the selection mix.

Western Bulldogs
Guy O'Keefe kicked three goals for Williamstown on the weekend, Jarrad Grant nailed two and Tim Callan was again in the Seagulls' best, but Rodney Eade suggested little change to his side this week after the Dogs got through the weekend unscathed. Daniel Giansiracusa is the only regular senior player on their injury list and he'll be back in five weeks.
