They are the unsung heroes of AFL clubs - the players who get the job done week, week out. With the help of club officials and coaches, the AFL Record has named the most underrated player at every club.

Stephen Milne now has his name in the record books as just the fourth Saint to kick more than 500 goals. But Milne tells Luke Holmesby he wants his name recorded as a premiership player after going agonisingly close in 2009 and 2010.

The coaching careers of North Melbourne's Brad Scott and Richmond's Damien Hardwick are tracking along similar paths. Nick Bowen has researched the age and experience of both clubs and concludes they are heading in the right direction.

This week's Record also looks at the time Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley was sledged by his future Magpie teammates when he played for the Brisbane Bears in 1993.

The 2012 round seven AFL Record will be on sale for $5 at all games. You can also purchase a copy from AFL Reception or call (03) 9643 1999.

And don't forget the AFL Record is now available on your iPad!
