The Power's struggles were not just confined to the win-loss column last season, with the club not faring much better in AFL Fantasy world. To highlight their fantasy woes, only midfielder Brad Ebert (No.23) ranked in the top 50 of all fantasy players last season. A fresh approach under Ken Hinkley might help breathe new life in to the place and lift the club out of fantasy irrelevance. Look for top draft pick Oliver Wines to lead the way in this area; he has all the hallmarks of becoming a fantasy beast.

2013 AFL Fantasy Dream Team price: $511,900

Matthew Broadbent

2012 average score: 80
2013 price: $413,100
2013 position: Mid
Mr Fantasy says: Showed promise with four consecutive 100-plus scores last season. Fairly priced and a star on the rise.

Justin Westhoff
2012 average score:
77
2013 price: $394,800
2013 position: Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: Averaged in the mid-70s last season and you’d expect a similar output in 2013. Never been a huge scorer.

Travis Boak
2012 average score:
84
2013 price: $431,100
2013 position: Mid
Mr Fantasy says: Managed to reach triple figures on just three occasions last year. Seems capable of more. Fairly priced.

Domenic Cassisi
2012 average score:
75
2013 price: $384,500
2013 position: Mid
Mr Fantasy says: Dropped sharply in price last season and is better than a player who averages around 74. Look for improvement.

Paul Stewart
2012 average score:
59
2013 price: $302,300
2013 position: Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: Managed an average of less than 60 last season and nothing suggests his value will increase sharply in 2013.

Hamish Hartlett
2012 average score:
82
2013 price: $421,400
2013 position: Mid/Def
Mr Fantasy says: Had a very solid average of almost 82 in 2012, but question marks remain over his durability.

Jackson Trengove
2012 average score:
58
2013 price: $300,400
2013 position: Def
Mr Fantasy says: Scored 80 or more on just three occasions last season. I would be looking elsewhere.

Jay Schulz
2012 average score:
77
2013 price: $397,400
2013 position: Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: Capable of some handy scores when he kicks a bag, but they aren’t frequent enough for him to be a viable Dream Team selection.
