COLLINGWOOD ruckman Darren Jolly faces a nervous wait after he was charged with rough conduct during his side's six point win over Geelong on Saturday night.

Jolly was booked after laying a bump on Mathew Stokes during the second quarter.

He appeared to make high contact in the incident and Stokes was awarded a free kick.

Even though Jolly had his arms tucked in and did not leave the ground, his height saw the bump collect the much shorter Stokes illegally.

Magpies coach Nathan Buckley saw the incident, and was clearly bemused.

"Sometimes when you're a big bloke and you just stand there - people run into you," Buckley said on Saturday night.

In other Collingwood news, Dayne Beams may have suffered a setback as he continues his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury.

"He had some scans yesterday, and when our doctor is ready to make a statement about that, and when we know exactly where that's at, we'll let you know," Buckley said.
