MORE than half of each year's NAB AFL Draft usually comes out of Victoria, but that doesn't mean any other part of the talent pool is overlooked.

After profiling the best 20 prospects in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, AFL.com.au takes a closer look at four other players from each division two state side.

NORTHERN TERRITORY
Comments from talent and coaching manager Wally Gallio

Daniel Cox
Southern Districts, 174cm, 67kg, 6/5/95
"An inside midfielder with good leg speed. He comes from Timber Creek in the Northern Territory. He has played a couple of senior games for Southern Districts and has shown talent. He's good in traffic and has really clean hands."

Kevin Renehan
Pioneer, 184cm, 79kg, 16/4/94
"Kevin played a couple of games with us last year and did the pre-season with Subiaco before coming home to Alice Springs. He's great on both sides of his body and is a really smart player with the ball in his hands."

Jarrod Stokes
Darwin, 173cm, 74kg, 5/12/94
"Jarrod is one of our over-age 19-year-olds who was invited to the draft combine last year. He's continued to grow and mature as a person since then. He's got good speed and evasive skills, and can be used as a defensive forward option. He's small but makes up for it with his pace."

Neil Vea Vea
Wanderers, 188cm, 89kg, 16/2/94
"Neil's background was in rugby league, having held a scholarship with the Cantebury Bulldogs. His parents are from the Solomon Islands. He plays mainly in the ruck, and that's where he'll play through the championships, which should be interesting."

NSW/ACT
Comments from state talent manager Darren Denneman

Logan Austin
Belconnen, 195cm, 79kg, 8/7/95
"A versatile utility who can play back, forward or through the midfield. Logan has developed well over the last 24-36 months, and looks a really good prospect for his size. The fact he can switch between all three spots makes him a rare commodity with his athleticism."

Jake Barrett
Temora, 182cm, 80kg, 8/11/95
"An elite level rugby league player who came across to the program two years ago. He came onto the stage when he played for NSW/ACT in the under-16 national championships where he showed his elite endurance in the midfield. Has really come on in a short time frame. He's what I call an 'effort beast' – he's just going at it all the time."

Max King
Murray Bushrangers/Wagga Tigers, 200cm, 89kg, 24/9/95
"Max plays with the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup and has been part of our program for quite a while now. From Wagga Wagga, Max is 200cm and he played a little bit last year at the national championships. He's a high-marking forward who can switch hit in the ruck as well. He's light in frame but high in potential."

Lloyd Perris
St George, 179cm, 74kg, 2/1/95
"Lloyd is a scholarship holder with the Sydney Swans (meaning the Swans have access to him at the end of the year). He is an elite level midfielder, with great leadership qualities. Missed last year's championships due to a knee reconstruction. He is NSW/ACT's only member of the AIS-AFL Academy level two squad."

QUEENSLAND
Comments from state talent manager Bob Batty

Isaac Conway
Aspley, 182cm, 85kg, 29/5/95
"Well built midfielder who played every game as a bottom-ager last year. He has been playing as a top-up player for the Brisbane Lions' NEAFL side and he has done pretty well. He was close to being picked for the AIS-AFL Academy level two squad and is in the Brisbane Lions' academy."

Jonothan Freeman

Aspley, 198cm, 95kg, 27/4/94
"One of our 19-year-olds who will represent the state through the championships. He's a late developer who played the last game of our championships last year against New South Wales and showed some talent. He's growing into his body and has kicked a few bags of goals in the NEAFL."

Aden Rutledge
Aspley, 190cm, 90kg, 12/6/95
"Aden can play forward but is usually used as a key defender. He's very strong overhead and he also played all of our games last year as a 17-year-old. He's got a big, strong body and he'll hold some big roles for us this year in the backline."

Cain Tickner
Aspley, 194cm, 91kg, 17/4/95
"Cain is also in the Lions' academy. We're hopeful that he will play this weekend against Vic Metro but he hasn't played the last three weeks with an ankle problem. He's also had knee tendonitis earlier this year. He's a key position forward and defender who can turn a game if he's on song."

TASMANIA
Comments from Tasmanian coach Adam Saunders

Jake Kolodjashnij

Launceston, 192cm, 88kg, 9/8/95
"The twin brother of Kade, who is co-captain of the team and in the AIS-AFL Academy. We certainly rate Jake highly as well. He's a bit taller than Kade and has been playing at centre-half back. He's a strong, aggressive player with a terrific frame to play a few different roles."

Alex Pearce
Devonport, 197cm, 82kg, 9/6/95
"He's been good but hasn't quite shown what he can do. Alex is mainly a key forward but can play back or through the midfield as well. He has elite endurance and is very agile for a tall player. He still has a lot of body development to go. We expect him to be a very prominent player as the championships go on."

Eli Templeton
Burnie Dockers, 182cm, 67kg, 19/8/95
"Eli was a level one AIS-AFL Academy scholarship holder last year. He's had a couple of outstanding games this year and has been playing well as a midfielder or through half-back. He played a bit of footy last year as a 17-year-old so we're really looking for him to step up and put his name back under the noses of recruiters this year."

Zac Webster

Glenorchy, 180cm, 71kg, 11/8/95
"The younger brother of St Kilda's Jimmy Webster and he's one of our co-captains this year. He's also switching through the midfield and half-back, and is a hard-running, hard-working competitor. He's very hard at the ball but we're trying to get him to show his kicking ability as well."
