A KEY Brisbane Lions supporter group has called for a quick resolution to a looming boardroom battle at the club.

Not wanting to see a messy, drawn-out battle, The Lion's Roar has established an online voting form for Lions members to hasten an Extraordinary General Meeting.

On Wednesday, a defiant Johnson emerged from a board meeting standing firm, saying he would have his fate decided at December's Annual General Meeting.

He admitted the current climate was "destabilising" for a club that was searching for a coach to replace recently sacked Michael Voss.

It is understood The Lion's Roar is not aligned to either the Johnson or Matthews/Williams/Power ticket, but is eager to speed up an EGM that can resolve the boardroom battle quicker.

They believe the next few months are crucial to the Lions and a fractured boardroom can only be harmful for the club.

If a request for such a meeting is lodged with the written support of 5 per cent of all members with voting rights, the club must process the request within 21 days and then set a date for the EGM within two months.
