Shane Biggs - 5
Had 21 touches, including three marks and two tackles for the game. Kept Carlton's small forwards under wraps - always an important role. 

Craig Bird - 6
Had the job on Carlton skipper Marc Murphy for most of the night. Did a good job curbing his influence, whilst also winning some of his own ball, finishing with 23 touches and seven tackles.

Jude Bolton - 5
Started the game well with a fantastic dribble-kick goal right on the quarter time siren. That goal changed the game. The Swans had just lost both Kurt Tippett and Tom Mitchell to injury, and the Blues were getting on top before Bolton snared that goal to give the Swans some momentum. Finished the game with 12 touches.

Harry Cunningham - 5
There was a great moment for the youngster in the second quarter, when he kicked his first goal, courtesy of a fantastic pass by Shane Mumford. The team ran to him to celebrate the milestone. He doubled that effort by kicking his second goal in the third quarter. Showed he can be a threat inside 50m, and finished with 15 possessions.

Andrejs Everitt - 4
Drifted around half-back for most of the game, sitting on Tom Bell at stages. He had 16 touches for the game.

Heath Grundy – 7
Had plenty of the ball, finishing with 32 touches. He was important as the Swans consistently cleared the Blues forward-line.

Daniel Hannebery – 6
Had a great battle with Dennis Armifield in his 100^th game. Started the game in red-hot form, with 12 possessions in the first quarter. Put in some serious gut running, and was instrumental as the Swans pulled away from the Blues in the first half. Hannebery left the field with 33 touches in an impressive performance.

Kieren Jack - 7
Ran riot early, kicking the first goal of the game. He was given a handy leg-up when his opponent Ed Curnow was forced out of the game in the second quarter with a knee injury. Was part of a brilliant piece of work by Lewis Jetta, who out-ran Chris Yarran to centre the ball into the goal square, where Jack cleverly soccered it through for a goal. Exciting stuff. Finished with 30 possessions and two goals. 

Lewis Jetta - 5
Jetta was called on much earlier than he would have thought, entering the game when Kurt Tippett went down injured in the first quarter. He was incredibly dangerous with the ball in hand and outplayed Andrew Walker to kick his first goal in the second quarter. His explosive pace had the Blues worried as well, as he out-ran Chris Yarran to set up a Kieren Jack goal in the third quarter.

Josh Kennedy - 5
Had Bryce Gibbs running alongside him at times, and on occasion went toe to toe against Chris Judd. He kicked a goal in the second quarter that went to the score review. He was awarded the goal after the vision came back inconclusive. Kennedy laid five tackles and finished with 24 possessions in a solid outing.

Jarrad McVeigh – 9
It's hard to believe he was under an injury cloud with calf and knee concerns before the match. He set a new finals record in the second term, when he collected 20 possessions for the quarter. The Blues tried everything to curb his influence, with Brock McLean, Eddie Betts and Nick Duigan all having a run with him. With Ed Curnow out injured, Mick Malthouse ran out of options. McVeigh did some damage on the scoreboard too, finishing with two goals, and had a career-high 42 possessions.

Nick Malceski – 4
Had a run alongside the likes of Chris Judd and Chris Yarran at times, and provided plenty of run off half-back. Had 14 touches and three tackles in his 150^th game.

Tom Mitchell - 1
Had three touches in the first quarter before hurting his ankle. He received treatment in the rooms, but was unable to return to the field. 

Shane Mumford - 4
Lost the hit-outs battle against Robbie Warnock (17-33), but used the ball really well, including a beautiful pass that set up Harry Cunningham's first career goal. He had 19 touches and laid five tackles.

Ryan O'Keefe - 7
Spent most of the game up forward, and starting in blistering fashion with 10 touches and two tackles in the first quarter alone. Zach Tuohy had the job of stopping him for most of the night. O'Keefe finished with 30 touches, seven tackles and a goal, and was one of the more influential players on the ground. Souring his performance, he appeared to hurt his leg in the last ten seconds of the game.

Luke Parker - 8
Parker was outstanding. He kicked three goals in the absence of Kurt Tippett, and had 22 possessions. He was really energetic across the field, and proved vital as the Swans pulled away from Carlton in the second half. Brilliant game.

Mike Pyke - 3
Michael Jamison went to Mike Pyke once Kurt Tippett was ruled out for the game. He didn't have a massive influence on the game, but was able to bring the ball to ground inside 50m.

Dane Rampe - 4
Hurt himself in the second quarter but returned to the field. He had 20 disposals and laid two tackles in a solid outing.

Ted Richards - 5
Has a nervous wait ahead of him after laying a bump on Levi Casboult in the third quarter. The incident had all the hallmarks of Lance Franklin and Paul Chapman's bumps. Richards kept Casboult quiet, and Waite was unable to get into the game until the last when the Swans had tired. Richards had 23 touches, including six marks.

Nick Smith - 4
Had the job on Eddie Betts for some of the game, but still found plenty of the ball (20 touches). Workmanlike game.

Kurt Tippett - 1
His game was over and done with early. He took a strong contested mark against Michael Jamison in the first quarter, but hurt his leg in the process. His resulting set shot at goal showed his discomfort, as he sprayed the easy kick for a behind. Forced off the ground, no amount of re-strapping could kill the pain, and Tippett was subbed out with eight minutes left in the first, without a chance to impact the game.

Jesse White – 4
Had Lachie Henderson following him around all night. He looked threatening at stages in the third quarter, but was held goalless, finishing with 20 touches.
