ST KILDA will look to finalise its coaching structure in the New Year with the club still needing to make two appointments to its new-look department.
Alan Richardson was installed as senior coach last month following the sacking of Scott Watters and is on the verge of returning to Australia after the Saints' two-and-a-half week Colorado training camp.
With the departures of Dean Laidley (midfield coach) and Tony Micale (player academy manager), the Saints have had to do some shuffling within the coaching department.
Former offensive coach Adam Kingsley is expected to team up with Danny Sexton – who has been defensive coach since 2012 – to take care of the midfield in 2014.
Former club captain and Carlton forward Aaron Hamill will step up to a full-time role as forward line coach after he returned to the club in 2012.
Hamill worked with the club's forwards that year and his involvement increased this season to a slightly bigger role before his promotion to full-time coach.
David Teague has been appointed as backline coach after spending 2011-13 in the same role at West Coast.
The off-season departures, including that of development coach Jaymie Graham in early October, mean the Saints have two key appointments still to make.
They hope to appoint a replacement for Micale in the role of academy manager before Christmas, and are likely to install a second development coach early in the New Year.
Paul Hudson remains at the club as the other development coach while Paul O'Connell will be the Saints' opposition analyst for a third season.
The club remains on the hunt for a new CEO after the resignation of Michael Nettlefold at the end of September.
