ADELAIDE midfielder Brad Crouch will miss six weeks after suffering a fractured fibula in his left leg against Port Adelaide on Saturday.

Crouch suffered the injury in the final quarter of his side’s 54-point loss at Adelaide Oval.

Crouch does not require surgery but it’s a big blow for the winless Crows, with Nathan van Berlo (Achilles) and Taylor Walker (knee) among other big names already injured on the sidelines.

Crouch played 14 games in his debut year last season, finishing runner-up in the NAB AFL Rising Star Award.

In better news, defender Sam Shaw has been cleared of any major damage after injuring his wrist in a spoiling attempt in the third quarter.

An X-Ray revealed Shaw had avoided a break but he will be assessed ahead of Adelaide’s clash with the 0-2 Sydney Swans at Adelaide Oval next Saturday.
