JACKSON Trengove expects his injured Port Adelaide teammate Tom Jonas to be available for Saturday's preliminary final against Hawthorn.
Jonas was subbed out of the Powers' 22-point semi-final win over Fremantle on Saturday night with a badly corked hip.
The defender played no part after half-time.
Trengove said that while the corkie prevented Jonas from playing on against the Dockers, his movement in the change rooms suggested he would be a genuine chance to line up against the Hawks.
"Tommy's the ultimate professional so he'll be right for the week," Trengove said upon his side's return to Adelaide from Perth.
"He copped a really heavy knock, which at the time he couldn't quite get moving.
"It was one of those ones that stops you from moving as well as you would have liked, he was still moving around in the changeroom and on the bike, so it wasn't fully stopping him."
In the moments that followed Saturday night's final siren, Power coach Ken Hinkley was seen instructing his players to remain calm.
Trengove said the coach's message was partly due to Port's admiration for the Dockers and partly down to the fact that in the players' eyes, "they haven't accomplished anything yet".
The Power's continued journey to becoming a force over the past two seasons has been an incredible story, but Trengove insisted their path was far from walked.
"[We were] being really humble with the win, we respect Fremantle really highly but also, we've got a job to do," he said.
"We're not really happy with where we're at, we haven't completed anything, we haven't accomplished anything yet.
"We've won a couple of finals which has been great but at the end of the day every team's going out there to win the premiership and we're no different."
Next Saturday's preliminary final will be the Power's first since 2007 when they defeated North Melbourne only to be dismantled by 119 points by Geelong in the Grand Final.
