HAWTHORN speedster Bradley Hill has been withdrawn from the side to face the Western Bulldogs on Sunday at Aurora Stadium.

Hill was left concussed in the dying seconds of last Sunday's two-point loss to Essendon after Bomber Patrick Ambrose slammed him into the ground during a tackle.

The Hawks named the 21-year-old in their final squad on Friday night, but he was unsighted at Melbourne Airport on Saturday morning, when the rest of his teammates flew out to Launceston.

All three emergencies, midfielder Billy Hartung, forward James Sicily, and key position player Ryan Schoenmakers boarded the plane.

Hawthorn is yet to name the emergency who will come into the side for Hill, but Hartung would be a like-for-like replacement.
