THE AFL's coffers will swell by $16,500 after the 16 charges from the weekend all carried financial penalties.

But the MRP has spared Melbourne's Bernie Vince and Carlton’s Tom Bell over incidents that left their respective opponents shaken.

Vince escaped penalty after the MRP decided contact between the Melbourne midfielder and the Sydney Swans' Tom Mitchell could not be avoided.

Mitchell was bending down to win possession of a ground ball and turned into Vince, whose hip made contact with Mitchell's head. However, it was determined that the Demon was contesting the ball and had no real alternative to make a contest.

The panel cleared Bell over his role in a potentially serious incident involving Brisbane Lions youngster Nick Robertson.

Robertson was sent crashing into advertising boards surrounding the Etihad Stadium turf after losing his balance when competing with Bell for a loose ball.

The panel decided Bell's contact with Robertson was not unreasonable and that the Carlton midfielder was within his rights to pressure his opponent.

Bomber Mark Baguley accepted a $1000 sanction with an early plea after being charged with engaging in rough conduct against Fremantle's Michael Barlow.

Lion Darcy Gardiner accepted a $1000 fine with an early plea for engaging in rough conduct against Carlton skipper Marc Murphy.

Hawk Ryan Schoenmakers accepted a $1000 sanction with an early plea for engaging in rough conduct against Giants forward Jeremy Cameron. Demon Lynden Dunn accepted a $1000 sanction for kneeing Sydney Swans veteran Adam Goodes.

Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer accepted a $1500 fine after he was charged with a second offence for engaging in a melee at half-time of his side's clash with St Kilda.

Teammate Michael Talia and Saints Nick Riewoldt, Sam Fisher and Maverick Weller were also fined $1000 for their roles in the same incident.

Carlton youngsters Mark Whiley, Patrick Cripps, Clem Smith were all charged with engaging in a melee at half time of Sunday's match against the Lions. The trio accepted $1000 fines.

Lions Tom Rockliff, Dayne Beams, Claye Beams and Darcy Gardiner were also fined $1000 for their role in the fracas.

Meanwhile, the panel cleared Geelong's Harry Taylor after he was reported for striking Collingwood's Travis Cloke.

Greater Western Sydney's Callan Ward and Hawthorn's Will Langford's reports of wrestling each other were also thrown out.
