RORY Sloane insists there's nothing but media hype in suggestions he could leave Adelaide to join St Kilda at season's end.

The Crows superstar, who is currently sidelined with a fractured cheekbone, remains out of contract along with teammates Patrick Dangerfield and Richard Douglas – although Douglas has told AFL.com.au he expected to sign a new contract near round 11.

Saints coach Alan Richardson and CEO Matt Finnis both confirmed their club's interest in Sloane last week.

On the eve of the season, the 2013 club champion said he was "comfortable" with how his contract negotiations were progressing and hinted a new deal with the Crows wasn't far away.

Speaking to Triple M on Adelaide radio on Friday, Sloane said he hadn't seriously considered offers to join a rival club.

"All that stuff's been a media beat-up … nothing's changed with my situation at all," Sloane said.

"I'm still talking to the footy club, there's just been this whole media circus around it … I haven't entertained other ideas yet, there's obviously stuff you think about when you're an out-of-contract player and that's the stuff you've got to work through.

"I love the way we're playing our team style of footy at the moment as well, that's always the style of footy I've wanted to play."
