ANOTHER key free agent is off the open market, with premiership defender Heath Grundy recommitting to the Sydney Swans.

The 29-year-old was highly sought after by rival clubs but is set to re-sign, ensuring he remains a vital cog in the Swans’ defence.

An unrestricted free agent at season's end, Grundy will ink a deal that will see him remain a Swan for at least a further two years.

The South Australian-born Grundy has missed two games since winning the 2012 premiership.

His signing leaves fellow defender Ted Richards and champion teammate Adam Goodes as the Swans’ only looming free agents.
