FREMANTLE is unlikely to pursue Essendon's Jake Carlisle, believing it would be hard to lure the out-of-contract tall to Western Australia.

Dockers list manager Brad Lloyd told AFL.com.au's Road to the Draft podcast the club was on the lookout to bolster its forward line, but didn't think it would make a play for Carlisle.

"I think it'd be unlikely with Jake. He's a local Essendon boy. I couldn't see him moving, to be honest," Lloyd said.

"Is he a forward, is he a back? He can play both. I've probably seen his best footy when I've seen him play back, he's played some really good roles there. He's also done well and kicked that bag the other year [up] forward.

"I think he's a local boy. He's from the Calder Cannons and Craigieburn, so it'd take a fair bit, I would think, for a player like that to move."

Carlisle's two-year deal with Essendon expires this year, and the versatile 23-year-old is likely to wait until the end of the season before deciding on his future.

He is set to miss another month with a knee injury suffered in round 13.

The Dockers have been linked to talls Travis Cloke, James Frawley and Alex Rance in recent years.

Sydney Swans speedster Lewis Jetta is another player considering his options, with the former West Australian out of contract at the end of the season.

Lloyd said the Dockers had a high opinion of the 2012 premiership star, who has played every game this season, but he didn't expect Jetta to be up for grabs.

"He's obviously a quality player, but we haven't done anything from that point of view with Lewis. He's an important part of Sydney's line-up and we rate him highly," Lloyd said.

"He's had a good career to date at Sydney and I wouldn't expect he'd be going anywhere."

Lloyd took over the Dockers' list management team in 2008, and on Road to the Draft discusses the club's list build since then, the decision-making process involved in selecting star midfielder Nat Fyfe, and Fremantle's approach to finding players at state level and off the rookie list.
