WESTERN Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge believes Gold Coast "crossed the line" in the way it poached high performance manager Justin Cordy from the club.

Cordy is set to join the Suns once his contract runs out with the Dogs at the end of this season, with Gold Coast announcing his appointment on Wednesday.

Beveridge said the Suns lacked integrity in their processes around luring Cordy to their club.

"We really rate Justin and he's been fantastic for us and I find it really interesting that they'd head hunt from an AFL club – I find that really disappointing," Beveridge said on Friday.

"Justin is a contracted member of our staff and for me it's really disrespectful for the Suns to talk publicly about their new relationship with him.

"In some ways, they've crossed the line and it's disappointing."

The issue had clearly been on Beveridge's mind because he made the call to bring the media back in front of the cameras, even after the morning media conference had seemingly concluded.

During the three-and-a-half-minute tirade, Beveridge also questioned Rodney Eade for his decision to discuss the way the Dogs have finished off games in 2015.

Eade commented on the Dogs after their round 15 clash when they kicked 10 goals in the final term of the game against the Suns. While the Suns coach believes his comments were positive, the Dogs have seemingly taken objection to them.

The Bulldogs have won just five fourth quarters in 2015 and are ranked 14th in the competition for scores for and 15th in scores allowed in final terms.

"I find it really interesting that the Gold Coast Suns would poach our fitness manager and then talk publicly about the way we finish games when it's factually incorrect," Beveridge said.

Beveridge said the Bulldogs were in negotiations with Cordy about extending his contract at the Kennel before he informed them he was joining the Suns.

"There's scruples and then there's integrity and I'm just not sure there's been any integrity in what the Suns have done and in the way they're talking about it now," he said.

Suns footy boss Marcus Ashcroft told AFL.com.au he was "comfortable" with the way they approached Cordy.

"We don't want to get into a slanging match with the Bulldogs. We have enormous respect for the Western Bulldogs Football Club and we are comfortable we have acted appropriately at all times," he said.

"We were in the open market competing for the services of Justin with a number of other clubs.

"We are pleased that he has chosen to join the Gold Coast Suns once his contract and obligations with the Bulldogs are complete at the end of the season."

Cordy will continue in his role at the Dogs starting with the game against Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Cordy has been a high performance manager for eight years with stints at the Bulldogs and Carlton, as well as at Cricket Australia. He previously worked alongside Eade in his first stint at Whitten Oval.
