ST KILDA has named young forward Paddy McCartin and captain Nick Riewoldt for Sunday's clash with Richmond at Etihad Stadium.
The skipper is still racing to get to the line with his calf problem but last year's No.1 draft pick provides a bit of insurance for coach Alan Richardson.
It will be McCartin's third AFL game and his first since the round four loss to Carlton.
The Saints have confirmed defender Hugh Goddard will finally make his debut while Eli Templeton has also been rewarded for some strong VFL form.
Veteran Adam Schneider, midfielder Seb Ross and forward Tim Membrey have all been omitted.

The Tigers welcome back their No.1 ruckman Ivan Maric from suspension and have retained Shaun Hampson after Ty Vickery fell foul of the Match Review Panel.

For the Lions, Stef Martin returns from suspension to face his former club, while Ryan Harwood and Mitch Robinson have also been included.
Rohan Bewick and Jordon Bourke have both been omitted, while Darcy Gardiner is out for the season with a shoulder injury.
