ADELAIDE says it is "extremely disappointed" with Matthew Jaensch after the injured defender was caught drink driving by police on Friday night.

The Crows released a short statement on Saturday confirming the 25-year-old had been pulled over while driving on the southern outskirts of Adelaide.

Jaensch, whose season was ruined when he suffered a torn ACL in round seven against St Kilda, was the sole occupant of the car.

The Crows have not outlined any sanction for the 74-game player.

"The club is extremely disappointed by his actions and views this as a serious breach of our standards, not to mention those of the wider community," the club statement said.

"There will be no further comment at this stage."
