MAJAK Daw has arrived at the County Court for the first day of his rape trial.

The 24-year-old is facing three charges over an incident alleged to have happened at a party in Melbourne's west in March 2007.

The delisted ruckman was 16 at the time.

Daw has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The trial is being held at the Victorian County Court building in Melbourne's CBD.

It's expected to last 7-10 days before Judge Mark Dean.

Daw was delisted by North Melbourne at the end of the 2015 season but the club has committed to re-drafting him onto its rookie list on Friday.

The ruckman has played 16 AFL games since making his senior debut for the Kangaroos in 2013.
