The top-ups, signed on temporary one-year contracts, are: former Docker Crowley, former Hawks Simpkin and Grimley, former Cats Kelly and Stokes, former Tiger Dea, former Dee Jamar, former Lions Polkinghorne and Michael, and former Roo Nathan Grima.

All up their combined games are a total 1059. Kelly is the the most experienced player with three premierships and 273 games to his name.

The Bombers were given until March 15 to sign a maximum of 10 top-up players on short-term contracts to replenish their list after 12 senior-listed players were banned for doping violations, causing them to miss the entire 2016 season.

The players who are still on Essendon's list but can't play this year are: Tom Bellchambers, Travis Colyer, Dyson Heppell, Michael Hibberd, Heath Hocking, Cale Hooker, Ben Howlett, Michael Hurley, David Myers, Tayte Pears, Brent Stanton and Jobe Watson.

On Tuesday AFL Media's Sean Garnsworthy took exclusive pictures of the 10 top-ups. It is the first time they have been photographed together.
