COLLINGWOOD and North Melbourne have loaded up for their NAB Challenge clash in Wagga on Saturday, with stars Scott Pendlebury and Todd Goldstein headlining the inclusions.

Midfielder Daniel Wells will also play his first pre-season game for the Kangaroos, while the Magpies have stacked their forward line with Travis Cloke and young gun Darcy Moore returning.

A number of gun players will emerge for the next round of NAB Challenge games, with Nick Riewoldt, Tom Rockliff, Jimmy Bartel and Nathan Jones all back for their respective clubs.

Essendon, meanwhile, has named five of its 10 top-up players to face Geelong on Saturday, with ruckman Mark Jamar and defender Matthew Dea to play their first games with the club.

Ex-Cats James Kelly and Mathew Stokes won’t face their former club, however, delaying any clash against their old teammates until at least round four.

Jonathan Simpkin, Sam Grimley and Sam Michael return for the clash in Shepparton after facing Carlton in the opening NAB Challenge match.

Geelong has recalled Bartel, Josh Caddy and Tom Lonergan after the trio was rested last week.

The Brisbane Lions have named captain Tom Rockiff for his first pre-season game against St Kilda on Sunday, along with ruckman Stefan Martin, half-forward Dayne Zorko, midfielder Daniel Rich and half-back Pearce Hanley.

St Kilda has also named a strong squad, with Riewoldt returning alongside midfielder David Armitage, half-back Jarryn Geary and midfielder Leigh Montagna.

Melbourne has selected midfielder Bernie Vince for his first pre-season game, against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday, with Jones also returning.

Emerging star Jesse Hogan won't play, however, with the club choosing to rest the young forward this week in the lead-up to round one.

The Bulldogs have named forward Tom Boyd, midfielder Tom Liberatore and recruit Jed Adcock for their first pre-season games as expected.

Young stars Marcus Bontempelli and Jake Stringer have been left out of the 29-man squad.
