WESTERN Bulldogs rookie Luke Goetz will fight his fine from the Match Review Panel for pushing Melbourne defender Colin Garland over the fence.

The ruckman, who only played a small amount of game time in Sunday's NAB Challenge clash with the Dees, was offered a $1000 fine for an early guilty plea over the incident.

The MRP classified his shove on Garland as a misconduct offence, attracting a $1500 fine.

Goetz now faces paying the higher fine if his challenge is unsuccessful.

It was a quiet weekend for the MRP, with Goetz the only player charged.

Bombers rookie Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti was cleared for his heavy bump on Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield in the third quarter of the sides' NAB Challenge match.

The MRP said the contact was "not unreasonable in the circumstances" with both players contesting the ball.
