FREMANTLE has lost Michael Johnson and the Western Bulldogs will be without Tory Dickson, as the two teams prepare to clash on Sunday afternoon at Etihad Stadium.

Johnson did not train last Wednesday. He was concussed in the Dockers' final pre-season match against Geelong on March 12 after being the victim of a sling tackle from Nakia Cockatoo.

The 31-year-old only played 15 games last year after missing eight with a hamstring injury. He was rested for the final match of the home and away season.

Defender Alex Pearce has been drafted into Fremantle's squad of 25 as a like-for-like replacement for Johnson.

Nathan Hrovat takes Tory Dickson's spot in the Dogs' squad.

Dickson only played in one NAB Challenge match, against Greater Western Sydney on February 25. He has been struggling to overcome an adductor injury.

The 28-year-old kicked seven goals against Fremantle in their only meeting in 2015.

The 22 to play on Sunday will be named later on Friday.
