THE BRISBANE Lions have been dealt another injury blow, with confirmation captain Tom Rockliff set to miss two weeks with a calf strain.

Rockliff sustained the injury in Saturday's loss against North Melbourne and will miss this weekend's clash against Geelong and possibly the following week against Gold Coast.

It further depletes a midfield already missing its ace in Dayne Beams (knee).

Daniel Rich (hamstring) and Mitch Robinson (calf) are 50-50 chances to play the Cats.

Lions physiotherapy Shane Lemcke confirmed the bad news on Rockliff.

"Unfortunately Tom has strained his right calf, so he’ll probably miss a couple of weeks," he said.

Lemcke also said Rich had done no structural damage to the hamstring.

Defender Marco Paparone is suffering from hamstring tendinopathy and is still a couple of weeks away from returning.
