THE ROLE

The Financial Controller will be responsible to the CFO for the financial reporting, monitoring and control, commercial management and proactive risk management of SANFL’s business operations.  The Financial Controller will also be responsible for the SANFL’s Information Technology strategy and implementation.

The focus and primary responsibility of this role is to provide reporting, analysis and advice to support business decisions, risk management and the protection of SANFL’s key assets; that is SANFL Competition and Clubs, Adelaide Oval License and Land at Football Park.  The Financial Controller will lead the finance team in providing financial accounting services and maintaining and controlling all accounting systems, reporting and financial forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, with appropriate professional memberships

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant experience within a large corporate organisation
  • Financial analysis skills and use of financial models
  • Provision of professional financial and management accounting advice

Desirable Criteria

  • IT strategy

Skills and Knowledge

  • Communicating with Executive Management Teams and Boards
  • Liaising effectively with key stakeholders
  • Leading and managing teams
