Membership Manager

The Western Bulldogs have an exciting opportunity for a Membership Manager, reporting to the Head of Membership & Ticketing.  The Membership Manager will be responsible for the delivery of growth and marketing engagement activities that accompany a successful annual membership campaign.  This is an important leadership role within the Western Bulldogs Membership Services department, with the day-to-day management of the Membership Services Team being a pivotal part of the position.  The role will play a crucial part in the development and delivering of departmental strategies and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.  This is both a strategic and demanding hands on role.

Key areas for this role will be split between project management, member satisfaction, customer service, and fan engagement initiatives, and include the following key responsibilities:

  • Managing all membership programs and ongoing campaigns with particular focus on retention, recruitment and customer experience
  • Development of the annual season membership campaign, including all associated branding, campaign initiatives, milestones and development of membership website
  • Manage game day membership operations and assist with planning of member events
  • Measure and review data including feedback from a wide range of sources to identify trends and develop detailed plans for membership growth, retention, revenue and profit across all categories
  • Manage the relationship between the Western Bulldogs and Etihad Stadium for the development of the reserved seating strategy
  • Assist in the implementation of the game day ticketing strategy to increase attendance and revenue
  • Maintain the integrity of the records contained in the Membership Database
  • Collection and reporting of membership data including, but not limited to, demographics, categorisation, trends, and match day attendance
  • Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods to gain member and fan insights (including focus groups and surveys)

The ideal Applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Marketing / Sports Administration)
  • Experience in a marketing role or exposure to marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience across managing a team
  • High level of customer service skills and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure on a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience handling complaints and conflict resolution
  • Experience using database and market research analysis to develop strategies
  • Proven success in leading, motivating, supervising and developing a group of customer oriented employees
