MELBOURNE recruit Jordan Lewis will wear the No.6 guernsey at his new home in 2017.

Lewis has taken over the jumper worn by key forward Chris Dawes, who was delisted by the Demons in October.

The four-time premiership Hawk has shifted from the No.3 he appeared in in 264 games for Hawthorn, with talented youngster Christian Salem retaining the famous number.

Ex-Demons captain Frank Davis, club finals record holder Frank Adams and best and fairest winner Glenn Lovett are among those to have worn No.6 for Melbourne.

Former Essendon defender Michael Hibberd has claimed the No.14 jumper, made famous by dual Brownlow medallist Ivor Warne-Smith.

Aaron vandenBerg has moved up to No.22 (following Viv Michie's delisting) after wearing No.37 during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Lynden Dunn, who was traded to Collingwood, was the previous owner of the No.14, wearing the jumper in 165 games for the Demons.

Former Giant Pat McKenna will don the No.40 jumper, while rookie Corey Maynard – the brother of Collingwood's Brayden – has inherited the No.48.
